The Golden Triangle

Stewart is located in the Golden Triangle for mining in Northern BC.  The mines North of us all ship their ore through Stewart.

There are two deep sea loading facilities… Stewart World Port and Stewart Bulk Terminals.

Stewart Bull Terminals currently ships the ore via water for both Pretivm and Red Chris Mines.  Both mines are owned by Newcrest.

There are several really good prospects for future mines; Tudor Gold and Eskay Creek.

Ascot Gold is located just outside of Stewart and is currently in its Construction phase.  Ascot is just finalizing their production date as to when they will be a producing mine; the anticipation is October 2023.  This mine alone will increase the population from approximately 450 to over 1200.

There is great interest in Stewart for tourism; bear/glacier viewing in the summer months and sledding and heli skiing in the winter.

The King Edward Hotel is somewhat of an icon in the community; with a great reputation with both the mining and shipping industries as well as the tourism sector with tour bus operators.  The King Edward Hotel is the only full service hotel located in Stewart; and has an excellent reputation for serving all the industries.

The hotel is located five minutes from the Alaskan Border.
